Petition to Parliament
On 24 February 2007 KASM submitted a petition to the House of Representatives with the MP for Port Waikato Dr Paul Hutchison presenting. A total of 15,113 signatories supported the petition requesting Parliament to change the law to remove the possibility of ironsand mining of the seabed.
After requesting then considering a further submissionon 19 July 2007, the Local Government and Environment Select Committee has requested further explanation in person.
